9-Week 1:1 Grief Tending Journey
Embark on a transformative, personalised 1:1 journey into, through, and beyond your grief and loss, with the expert guidance of Sophie; a trauma-informed and certified Grief Coach and Hypnotherapist.
The Unfurling programme is thoughtfully designed to support all types of grief, including the loss of loved ones, miscarriage, anticipatory grief, terminal illness, pet loss, relationship endings, divorce, job loss, and other significant life changes.
With a blend of deep compassion and expert knowledge, Sophie offers a bespoke approach which is tailored to your unique experience. This journey is centred around three core elements, mindfully curated to help you gently unfurl from the protective contraction of grief.
This programme can be delivered over 9 or 12 weeks.
The optional hypnotherapy component elevates this programme from the standard 9-week duration to an enhanced 12-week offering, providing choice for those in whom hypnotherapy is not desired, or contraindicated. The option to add the hypnotherapy component once the programme is underway is also available.
Sessions are available online, in-person in Surrey RH8, or as a hybrid, allowing for maximum comfort and flexibility based on your location and needs.
This journey begins with a 45-minute online Discovery Call to ensure alignment and for Sophie to understand your goals. There is no obligation to book after this call, but should you choose to proceed, the consultation fee will be deducted from the programme cost.

Before committing to Unfurling you are invited to a 45-minute discovery call with Sophie to explore where you are currently in your grief experience, so she can understand your expectations for this programme, and how she can best support you in this journey. Please be assured that there is no commitment to book the programme as a result of the discovery call. If you choose to proceed the cost of this consultation is deducted from the cost of the programme.
Grief tending sessions are at the core of this programme, which offer a gentle container for your grief to be held and nurtured, a brave space where you can find your voice and navigate through your emotions. Each session is designed with purpose, supporting gentle processing of grief, and helping you to lean into the all emotions and changes that loss gives rise to. These sessions are rooted in the three core elements of the Unfurling programme which are
Bearing Witness, Embracing Stillness, and Gentle Unfurling.
There are weekly anchoring rituals throughout the programme including breathing exercises, and guided meditations which can help with quieting the noise of the outside world so that you can be present in the moment, to focus your attention inwards where a deeper knowing resides. These rituals offer an anchoring to self and to guide you towards your inner strength, self-trust and compassion. Suitable for those newer to meditation and mindfulness, as well as those with more experience and will be individually tailored to meet your needs.
The bespoke weekly reflective activities including journal prompts, and self-discovery work to invite you to connect more deeply with yourself and your stories of grief and loss, allowing us to enter into our weekly sessions with intention and awareness. You are invited to spend as much time on these activities as you feel serves you, but can easily be completed in under an hour to fit around your schedule. You are encouraged to complete the activities with openness and curiosity.
Hypnotherapy supports grief tending by creating a calm, focused state of mind where you can process your emotions, release unresolved feelings, and connect with your inner resilience. It gently facilitates your healing journey by addressing subconscious patterns, fostering self-compassion, and offering tools to navigate grief with greater clarity and acceptance. The optional hypnotherapy component takes this programme from the standard 9-week duration to an enhanced 12-week offering. Three hypnotherapy sessions are delivered in the Embracing Stillness element at the middle of the programme. It is also possible to add the hypnotherapy option once the programme is underway, if you decide later that it serves you to do so.
Over the Unfurling journey you will receive text and/or email support from Sophie, offering regular connection throughout this grief tending journey. Grief can feel isolating, overwhelming, and the pathway is oftentimes unclear. This thread of connection weaves throughout your Unfurling journey, bringing all the elements of the grief tending experience into meaningful union.

Unfurling begins with the foundational element of Bearing Witness, providing a brave and supportive space for you to explore and honour your grief and loss.
This component focuses on sharing your story, embracing the full spectrum of emotions, and gently releasing the weight of challenging feelings. It’s a chance to feel truly seen, heard, and held in your experience.
The second element centres on Embracing Stillness through reflection, meditation, and self-connection. If chosen, the hypnotherapy component integrates seamlessly here.
As the Unfurling journey unfolds the anchoring rituals become more intentional with longer guided meditations, and mindfulness activities that connect to self, and evoke deeper reflections.
The final element of the programme is the Gentle Unfurling, which focuses on embracing change, cultivating self-trust, and fostering renewal.
Supporting you to navigate the transformations that grief reveals, you nurture growth while anchoring to self as you gently unfurl from grief's protective contraction into a new space of possibility and expansion.
