Emerging Heart invites you to navigate the complex landscape of grief and loss in a compassionate space, where you can honour the depth of your experiences while nurturing the potential for growth and renewal.
Throughout this transfomative group grief tending journey, you will explore the nuances of your grief, and share your stories and emotions in an intimate and supportive community that is rooted in acceptance and empathy.
Whether you're grieving the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a life transition, or even unspoken dreams, this programme offers a supportive path towards healing.
Together, we will engage in shared reflection, grief tending rituals, and healing practices that encourage remembrance, release, resilience and renewal. Helping to uncover new ways you can tenderly carry your loss and connect with the wisdoms that grief can reveal.
Emerging Heart embraces the journey of grief, honouring your loss while gently cultivating hope and possibilities for the future that lies ahead, as you find the strength that comes from tending to your grief with vulnerability and courage.

Once the programme is launched you will be able to book a 20-minute Discovery Call with Sophie to ask your questions about the programme as you explore whether Emerging Heart is right for you. Once enrolled on Emerging Heart you will have a 45-minute Foundational 1:1 Session with Sophie to explore where you are currently in your grief journey in more depth, to explore more about what you aim to achieve through participating in this programme, and how she can best support you over the 3-month experience. This session will also include a 1:1 guided meditation.
Six grief circles are foundational to this group grief tending programme, offering a brave space for sharing your stories. In circle we sit side-by-side with the intention of removing hierarchy and creating unity, providing a gentle yet empowering place where we can explore our grief without haste. Circle is a soft and kind space that feels emotionally nourishing, where we can be gently held in our vulnerability. We do not offer advice or guidance in circle, we simply listen without the intent to reply; allowing those sharing to feel deeply heard as they connect to their own wisdoms, guiding them through their grief with tenderness and knowing.
There are four exclusive guided meditations for the participants of Emerging Heart during this journey we will be travelling together. Grief often makes us feel disconnected from self and meditation offers a gentle path to navigate our way back to our heart and body. These sessions will start with a re-connection of the group before we begin the guided meditation. Through quieting the outside world we can focus our attention inwards where our deeper knowing resides. Suitable for those newer to meditation as well as those with more experience, all you need is a quiet and comfortable spot to sit and connect with self.
Anchoring grief rituals ground us in the present moment while honouring the significance of our loss. These rituals provide a sense of stability, connection, and continuity throughout the healing process. Each ritual is designed to gently acknowledge the presence of grief, giving it a space to be seen, expressed, and understood. Our grief anchoring rituals honour the wisdom, strength, and resilience that come from tending to grief in a mindful and compassionate way. and lead us into our circle gatherings with intention and awareness.
During the Emerging Heart journey you will be offered a private hypnotherapy session for helping you to navigate your grief and loss. This 60-minute session, which will be tailored to your specific grief experience, whether this is to help your sleep, to say goodbye to your loved one, or to rebuild your confidence after a breakup. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic practice for facilitating behavioural and emotional change. For some people, hypnotherapy may be contraindicated or not something you wish to undergo, so a 1:1 deep guided meditation is provided as a alternative.
Over the Emerging Heart journey you will be provided with journaling prompts that help you to enquire deeply into your true self, with kindness and curiosity. Light a candle, take a notepad and pen, connect with the prompt, and then spend some time letting your thoughts flow. When we don't focus too much on editing our writing in the moment, our inner thoughts can be revealed. Let your thoughts flow freely, and tenderly catch them on paper as they fall.
Throughout the Emerging Heart journey you will receive text and/or email support from Sophie, offering regular connection throughout this experience, and an invitation to join in digital connection with the others in the programme, encouraging a deeper experience overall.
We will conclude our journey with a half day retreat where we will gather in person for a ceremonial end to our time together, to celebrate our emerging hearts and take steps towards a new future beyond grief. The location of our closing ceremony will either be Surrey RH8, London, or somewhere central to the participants of Emerging Heart.

Emerging Heart, is an intimate journey for up to 10 people only, where we honour the timeless traditions of grief tending, creating a brave, compassionate, and nurturing space to lean into grief and care for the full spectrum of feelings and experiences grief and loss reveal.
At the heart of this journey is our grief circle, a non-hierarchical space where we share our grief through storytelling, where each person can speak freely and uninterrupted, without judgement or the offer of advice. This sacred act of deep listening allows you to feel truly seen and heard while finding your voice and connecting with your story at a pace that honours your unique grief journey. The sacred practice of circle fosters a profound sense of community, gently holding us in our vulnerability while allowing us to be witnessed and supported.
On this journey we weave together circle, guided meditation, journaling prompts, deep meditation or hypnotherapy, and anchoring grief rituals to offer a space of reflection, healing, and connection. Our guided meditations invite you to turn inward, inviting a return to the quiet, intuitive, rising wisdom we each hold. Our meditations help to ground you into your body to help stabilise you after the disorienting effect of grief. Journaling prompts and anchoring grief rituals encourage meaningful reflection, self-compassion, and remembrance, supporting deep insights and tender transformation.
Through this journey, each participant joins a compassionate Emerging Heart community. Together, we rediscover resilience, tenderly nurture our grief, and emerge with a renewed sense of connection, inner peace, and hope.
Honouring and cherishing your memories and experiences, the Remembrance pillar invites reflection on what has been lost, fostering deep connection within a compassionate space that holds your feelings, stories, and experiences with love and understanding.
Going deeper into our grief tending journey by exploring and releasing the shadow emotions of frustration, anger, and guilt, Our pillar of Release encourages emotional expression, offering tools to process and unburden grief in ways that are safe, empowering, and healing for the soul.
Building inner strength and finding capacity to cope, our Resilience pillar supports you in discovering ways to navigate the challenges you are experiencing, cultivates self-compassion, and embraces the ongoing process of growth through adversity.
Embracing the hope of new beginnings, our Renewal pillar fosters hope, inviting you to explore transformation, rediscover joy, and integrate the lessons of your journey to find meaning and light in life again to slowly reveal your Emerging Heart.

Emerging Heart is for all people, of all genders, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The space is designed to be soft, nurturing, gentle, and kind.
Rising Wisdom is an LGBTQ+ inclusive space, where people are welcome to self-identify, and can expect to have their name and pronouns honoured in the way that makes them feel most like their true self. enabling them to be addressed respectfully and with dignity. Participants on this programme are asked to honour this ethos, and ensure that they are positively upholding the dignity of others.
We also recognise the systemic and ongoing marginalisation of people of the global majority, people of lower income, and those of intersecting identities.
To heal from grief, in a society that compounds trauma for some people exacerbates feelings of grief further still. We hope to help where we can and as such we encourage use of the Supported Places for anyone whose identity is subject to systemic oppressions, to help alleviate unnecessary financial pressure, and to offer more equitable access to this group grief tending programme.
